The Assistant Radiographic Testing (RT) Technician supports certified Nondestructive Examination (NDE) Technicians in performing radiographic inspections of welds, piping, equipment, and other components to identify discontinuities and verify compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and client specifications.
This entry-level position provides hands on support with RT equipment setup, job site preparation, material handling, radiation safety controls, and inspection activities while gaining the training and experience necessary to advance within the NDE/RT field. All radiographic activities are performed under the direction and supervision of qualified personnel and in accordance with company radiation safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Internal - Work may occasionally be performed in an office, shop, or other controlled environment (10%).
External - Work is primarily performed in industrial and field environments with exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, equipment, and active work sites (90%). Work may include nighttime operations and projects in remote locations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is physically demanding and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting or moving equipment and materials. The employee must possess sufficient visual acuity and auditory perception, with or without corrective devices, to safely perform assigned duties and comply with job-site and radiation safety requirements.
The position may require working extended shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime based on project schedules. Frequent travel to industrial, pipeline, fabrication, and oilfield locations, including remote areas, may be required.
