Job summary

The Structures Company in Dallas, TX is seeking an RS Avionics Installer II to assist in removal and installation of avionics electrical components. You will fabricate wire harnesses, perform wiring terminations, ring-out, and functional tests of avionics and electrical systems.

You will read blueprints and schematics, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain logs, and uphold FOD and safety standards as part of a national aerospace staffing service.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of aviation electronics schooling or related work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Experience with wiring, harness fabrication, terminations, and ring-out.
• Ability to comply with FOD, tool control, 5-S, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Summary:

• Assists in removal and installation of avionics electrical components.

• Fabricates wire harnesses for avionics and electrical systems.

• Performs installations, terminations, ring-out, and functional tests of avionics and electrical systems.

• Installs, modifies, and fabricates wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment per blueprints and engineering drawings.

• Maintains required logs and records for avionics work performed.

• Ensures work accomplished meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

• Checks all work and ensures a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.

• Reads and interprets basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.

• Applies knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

• Complies with FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or two (2) years related work experience, or an avionics certificate from an accredited school plus one (1) year of related work experience.

• Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.

• Experience with installations, modifications, and fabrication of wiring and electrical components.

• Experience with wire harness fabrication, terminations, and ring-out.

• Experience with functional testing of avionics and electrical systems.

• Ability to maintain logs and records for avionics work.

• Ability to comply with FOD, tool control, 5-S, and safety regulations.
