Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation in Newnan, GA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform patient assessments and testing related to pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders, educate patients, and monitor therapy compliance.

Responsibilities include completing prescribed tests, administering medications, documenting in the electronic medical record, calibrating equipment, and serving as a resource to clinical staff. Requires RRT credential, GA license, and BCLS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy sciences.
• Previous working experience in respiratory care or validated orientation.
• RRT certification and state license required upon hire.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.

PULMONARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Six-minute walk testing.
• Body Box testing.
• Niox testing.
• Overnight oximetry testing.
• Oxygen orders.
• Assist provider with any necessary oxygen/ pulmonary testing requested.
• In-basket management.
• O2 CMN management.
• Patient call management.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
