Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our nights rotation. This role involves patient assessment, diagnostic testing, and collaboration with physicians to implement care plans.

Must hold Kentucky licensure, NBRC RRT registration, and BLS certification (or obtain within 90 days). Three or more years of cardiopulmonary experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold KY licensure to practice as an RT and NBRC RRT registration.
• BLS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Three+ years of cardiopulmonary experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients with breathing-related conditions and conduct diagnostic testing.
• Consult with physicians to develop and implement a treatment plan.
• Perform physiotherapy and teach patients how to use medications.
• Measure lung capacity and analyze blood samples.
• Deliver and assess response to ordered therapy per plan of care.
• Monitor and document patient status and communicate changes.
