Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time day shift. The therapist will assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory diseases, delivering both medicated and non-medicated therapies as ordered by providers.
Responsibilities include invasive and non-invasive ventilator support, diagnostic testing, and participation in quality improvement projects. Licensure and NBRC credentials are required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
The respiratory therapist assesses, treats, and monitors patients with respiratory diseases and conditions. This includes the delivery of medicated and non-medicated therapy as ordered by the provider. Additionally, therapists provide invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilator support for acute respiratory failure. As part of patient assessment and management, the therapist performs diagnostic test procedures. In addition, therapist assists in departmental operations by addicting with quality improvement projects, equipment, and supplies. The certified therapist follows all applicable rules and regulations established by the licensure board depending on the state in which respiratory therapy is practiced.
