Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking an RRT for a 13-week assignment in Norman, Oklahoma. The successful candidate will evaluate patients, administer therapies, and collaborate with a healthcare team to develop care plans.

The role emphasizes maintaining licensure and NBRC credentials, with opportunities for extension. Responsibilities include setting up respiratory equipment, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients and families on managing COPD, asthma, and other conditions.

Qualifications

• RRT with NBRC credentials (CRT or RRT) required.
• Experience evaluating and managing cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Strong patient education and counseling skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and interpret tests (blood gases, X-rays).
• Administer oxygen therapy and ventilation support.
• Set up and monitor ventilators and CPAP machines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies with life-saving interventions.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and device use.
• Collaborate with doctors and nurses on care plans.
• Document patient assessments and progress.
• Support pulmonary rehabilitation activities.
• Maintain licensure and NBRC credentials current.
