Qualifications

• ACCEPTED educational program leading to an associate degree with emphasis in polysomnography.
• Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or recertify within six months of hire.
• BLS certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and calibrate equipment for testing and ensure proper functioning.
• Apply electrodes, monitor sleep studies, and document data accurately.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain informed consent.
• Perform PAP interface fitting and adjust as needed.
• Score data and generate reports following center protocols.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with HIPAA and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with Sleep Center team and participate in quality improvement.
