Job summary

Mercy Washington is seeking a PRN Part-time Polysomnographic Technician to perform overnight sleep studies, calibrate equipment, and monitor patients in a patient-centered environment.

You will score studies, educate patients on sleep disorders and PAP therapy, maintain equipment, and document all care in the EMR while working independently on night shifts at Mercy Washington.

Qualifications

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Polysomnography program.
  • Required: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
  • Required: BLS (American Heart Association) within 3 months.

Responsibilities

  • Perform overnight sleep studies, including polysomnography, CPAP/BiPAP titration, split-night protocols, and MSLT.
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment in accordance with AASM standards.
  • Monitor patients throughout the night and respond to clinical events with confidence.
  • Accurately score studies and produce detailed reports.
  • Educate patients on sleep disorders and PAP therapy.
  • Maintain equipment and follow infection control protocols.
  • Document all care in the EMR.
