Job summary

Mercy in Springfield, MO seeks a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) for a full-time night shift. You will perform sleep studies, analyze data, and report findings under physician supervision, while educating patients and upholding safety standards.

You will apply electrodes per AASM standards, run CPAP/BiPAP titrations, split-night tests, and MSLT, document in EMR, and participate in quality improvement and professional development with a collaborative sleep team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited Polysomnography program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, calibrate, and maintain sleep study equipment.
• Apply electrodes and sensors according to AASM standards.
• Conduct overnight polysomnographic studies, including CPAP/BiPAP titration, split-night studies, MSLT.
• Monitor patients and respond to sleep-related events and emergencies.
• Score sleep studies and generate detailed reports per AASM guidelines.
• Educate patients on sleep disorders and PAP therapy.
• Ensure equipment functionality and infection control.
• Document procedures and observations in the EMR.
• Participate in quality improvement and professional development.
