Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Rendezvous and Proximity Operations Oversight Software Engineer to join the JETS ISS RPOC team supporting ISS missions. You will certify GN&C system requirements, assess sensor performance, and validate safety requirements through rigorous analysis and reviews.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or compatible.
• Experience with GN&C, orbital mechanics, and space systems analysis.
• Experience with GN&C hardware/software design, verification, and operation.

Responsibilities

• Certify GN&C system requirements compliance via analysis & test review.
• Certify fault tolerance safety requirements through hazard reports & verification.
• Identify and recommend GN&C/RPO performance solutions.
• Provide GN&C mission console support during real-time operations.
• Collaborate with NASA civil servants and contractor staff across teams.
