Job summary

Capstone IT, Inc. is seeking an experienced RPG Developer to support strategic systems in finance, HR, and inventory. The role focuses 80% on troubleshooting within RPG/I-Series environments and 20% on documenting processes and preparing for a Java-based transition.

You will analyze legacy applications, collaborate with stakeholders, and document dependencies and workflows while supporting DB2 data structures. Night/weekend rotation may be required.

Additional projects may include researching existing applications, documenting business processes, and preparing for a transition to Java-based architecture.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current system workflows and business processes
• Document application functionality, dependencies, and operational processes in detail
• Support discovery efforts for system transition to a Java-based platform
• Provide insights into data structures and flows within DB2 databases
• Assist with limited enhancements, troubleshooting, and support of existing systems as needed
• Partner with cross-functional teams: business analysts, architects, modernization teams
• Able to provide night/weekend support on a rotation with the team

Required Qualifications
