Job summary

The City of Boca Raton is seeking a Right of Way Maintenance Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee all maintenance and beautification activities within the City’s public rights-of-way. This role coordinates with City divisions, utilities, and contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and visually appealing corridors in a world-class city.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Landscape Management, Horticulture, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Ten years of progressively responsible government experience in public works operations, right-of-way maintenance, or commercial landscape management.
• Five years of experience directly supervising and supporting direct reports at the professional, technical, or managerial level. Valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct daily ROW maintenance staff and contracted personnel.
• Oversee maintenance of landscaped medians, roadside plantings, turf, trees, irrigation systems, and rights-of-way elements.
• Monitor MOT compliance across field operations to protect crews and the traveling public.
• Prepare and manage the annual operating budget and track division revenues and expenditures.
• Develop CIP projects for ROW beautification and improvements; coordinate with other city divisions.
