Job summary

Mark-Taylor is hiring a Roving Service Technician to support multiple Phoenix-region communities. You will perform maintenance repairs, complete make-ready tasks, and assist onsite teams to keep properties running smoothly and safely.

Travel between communities is required; on-call rotation adds $3/hour during on-call hours. Eligible for a $300 monthly vehicle allowance and certification pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA credentials.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in maintenance technician roles in property management.
• Willingness to travel daily to different community locations.
• EPA certification required.
• CPO/OSHA certifications preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic English written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Mark-Taylor communities in the Phoenix area to provide maintenance support.
• Assist onsite teams with daily maintenance tasks, including work orders and make-ready duties.
• Complete make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain supplies.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor AC/heat, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance issues.
• Perform routine pool care and ensure chemical balance and safety.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and key-cutting.

Compensation

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $26.00/hour.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Eligible for $300.00 monthly vehicle allowance.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications***

Requirements

• 2 or more years' experience working as a maintenance technician, apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician in the Property Management industry.
• Willingness to travel daily to different community locations throughout the valley ($300 vehicle allowance provided).
• Above average knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
• EPA certification required.
• CPO, OSHA 10, and OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will:

• Travel to various communities in the Mark-Taylor Portfolio, providing assistance as needed.
• Provide assistance to onsite teams in the daily maintenance tasks including work orders, groundskeeping, and make-ready duties.
• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
