Job summary

Ecowaste Solutions is seeking a Roving Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to address staffing shortages and performance challenges. This role involves preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment while ensuring safety and compliance with company standards.

The successful candidate will diagnose and repair fleet equipment, conduct failure analysis, and maintain accuracy in work orders. Weekly pay, per diem for travel, and comprehensive health plans are part of the benefits package. Candidates must be willing to travel extensively and may need to possess a valid state issued CDL driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair or equivalent training.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively on short notice.
• Experience in completing complex work orders with details of condition and correction.

Job description

As a Roving Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic at Ecowaste Solutions you will be deploying to business units experiencing staffing shortages, performance challenges, or newly acquired locations performing preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment. Your responsibilities will include completing work orders with proper coding such as reason for repair, detailed description of condition, cause, and correction, as well as properly completing the warranty process. Safety, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical in these roles.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly.
• Conduct failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds fleet equipment components correctly.
• Inform management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions and unsafe work practices, and suggest corrective actions.
• Identify and inform management of broken tools and missing supplies required for performing repairs on fleet equipment and take steps to solve issue if possible.
• Correctly complete complex work orders with proper description of condition, cause, and correction, including properly completing a warranty return tag as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid state issued CDL driver's license preferred but not required.
• Experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with specialty in Diesel.
• Experience in advanced diagnostics.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively on short notice.
