Job summary

MASSACHUSETTS MARITIME ACADEMY is looking for an ROV Assistant Operator to support logistical, technical, and operational aspects of ROV inspections and operations. This role involves assisting with maintenance and training junior staff while following strict safety and quality standards. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical discipline and a valid Driver’s License. The position requires the ability to undertake physically demanding tasks and may involve extensive travel to offshore locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marine, Ocean, or related engineering/technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass drug & alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day logistical, technical, and operational aspects of ROV operations.
• Assist in training and on‑the‑job development of junior team members.
• Participate in risk management activities (risk assessments, JSA’s, toolbox talks, etc.).
• Perform physically demanding offshore tasks and follow company safety procedures.
