Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company step van to provide products and service to clients.
• Verify daily preventative maintenance of vehicle and maintain operator documentation.
• Manage daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product.
• Load/unloads product per company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Review invoices daily for complete and accurate information and make corrections as needed.
• Meet sales goals and promote overall route growth to enhance profitability.
• Develop leads/prospects, calls on prospective customers to solicit business, prepare service agreements, and install new accounts.
• Assist the sales organization with the procurement of additional new business.
• Possess a strong understanding of services, policies, and pricing methods and can clearly communicate these to customers.
• Monitor customer feedback and handle customer issues promptly and courteously.
• Take responsibility for personal safety and adhere to all safe work practices and policies.
• Perform other duties as required within the scope of the activities enumerated above.

Overview

The Route Sales Support Driver builds solid, positive working relationships with customers and is highly motivated to exceed their expectations and requirements. Vestis operates in a very competitive environment and successful RSSs must be able to balance exceptional customer service with meeting and exceeding individual sales growth goals. Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Safely operate a company step van in designated area to provide products and service to a variety of clients.
• Verify daily preventative maintenance of vehicle and maintain proper operator documentation;
• Manage daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product;

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and excellent driving record;

Working Conditions

• Exposure to adverse and varying weather conditions which may include extreme hot/cold temperatures depending on geographical location.
• Fast-paced environment sometimes requiring irregular and long hours.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 lbs. and load/unload product from truck without assistance.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and maneuver 50+ lbs.
• This position requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.

License Requirements/ Certifications: Valid Driver’s License (Not CDL), with minimal points/violations in the last three years.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $26.50, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
