Job summary

Schwan's Company is hiring for a CDL Class B route delivery role in Pekin, IL. You will deliver products, merchandise displays, place orders, and build in-store relationships to boost shelf availability and store sales. The position requires early mornings, a Monday–Friday schedule, and occasional weekend travel.

Qualifications

• Previous DSD, grocery, delivery, or warehouse experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement; must be 21 or older.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds and move frozen product with equipment.
• Pre-employment background check, drug test, and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Provide route coverage while delivering product, placing orders, and merchandising to ensure products are available on store shelves.
• Work a Monday–Friday schedule with some weekend travel; early start times.
• Unload products, place in back room, and collect proof of delivery.
• Place orders and drive additional sales by gaining display space and promoting new products.
• Merchandise product, maintain display space, and rotate product.
• Use handheld technology and sales software to complete daily tasks.
• Build in-store relationships and work with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain DOT rules and perform truck inspections.

What You Will Do

In this CDL Class B position, you provide route coverage while delivering product, placing orders, and merchandising product to ensure our products are available on store shelves for grocery shoppers. In addition, this position provides opportunities to develop the leadership skills needed for leadership positions.

What We Look For
