CJ Schwan's is seeking a CDL Class B driver in Nashville, TN to cover routes, deliver products, and merchandise on store shelves. The role involves early starts, weekday schedules, and some weekend travel.

You will develop leadership skills and advance within the company as you contribute to reliable store availability. Ideal candidates have prior DSD or grocery delivery experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds while following DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in DSD, grocery, delivery or warehouse work is preferred.
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds and handle freezer items.
• Must meet pre-employment background, drug test and DOT requirements.

Responsabilités

• Deliver product and provide route coverage on a Monday–Friday schedule.
• Place and merchandise product to secure shelf space and drive sales.
• Unload products and collect proof of delivery.
• Build in-store relationships and work with coworkers in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to DOT rules and perform truck inspections.

What You Will Do

In this CDL Class B position, you provide route coverage while delivering product, placing orders, and merchandising product to ensure our products are available on store shelves for grocery shoppers. In addition, this position provides opportunities to develop the leadership skills needed for leadership positions.

• Work a Monday -- Friday schedule (some weekend travel required at times); early morning start time
• Unload products, place product in the back room, and collect proof of delivery
• Place orders and drive additional sales by gaining display space and promoting new products
• Merchandise product, maintain display space, and rotate product
• Use handheld technology and sales software to complete daily work
• Build in-store relationships and work effectively with co-workers in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain DOT rules and regulations and perform truck inspections

What We Look For

• Previous DSD, grocery, delivery, or warehouse experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement and ability to meet medical certification requirements; must be 21 years or older
• Ability to safely lift 35 pounds and move frozen product using appropriate equipment
• Ability to meet pre-employment background check, drug test, and DOT physical requirements
