Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a Route Sales Representative to safely drive a step-van delivery truck on an assigned route, selling, delivering, and merchandising Herr's products to grocery, mass merchandise, and independent stores. This full-time role offers a retention bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

Eligible applicants must have a valid driver's license with a clean record, pass a drug test, and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver's license in the current state of residence with excellent driving record.
No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years; no DUI in the past 3 years.
High school diploma or GED required.
Pass a job-related assessment with a score of 70% or better.
Herr Foods policy requires drug testing for all offers.
Able to read, write, understand and speak English.
Stable work history with good references.
Strong communication, persuasion, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

Sell, deliver, stock and merchandise Herr's brand snack foods to grocery retail and independent chain stores.
Progressively increase current customer sales volume and build relationships with key decision makers.
Provide excellent customer service and inquire about customer needs.
Communicate product knowledge and suggestive selling; increase customer base by soliciting new accounts.
Execute company-sponsored promotions with product displays and racks.
Rotate and provide credit to accounts for stale or damaged items to ensure freshness.
Process orders by entering product codes into hand-held computers.
Collect cash from customers and accurately process invoices.
Manage daily accuracy of product inventory and maintain vehicle equipment.
Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle safety inspections and keep the truck clean.

Job Summary:

Safely drives step-van delivery truck over any assigned route to sell, deliver, and merchandise products, as well as provide excellent customer service to a variety of grocery, mass merchandise, and independent chain stores.

PAY: $45,000-$55,000 PLUS annually
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday approximately 45-55 hours a week.
