Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a Route Sales Professional to service stores in the New York area. The role involves merchandising, stocking, and ensuring product freshness while driving sales with new display opportunities and promotions.

You will be responsible for daily route settlements, maintaining inventory accuracy, and complying with DOT requirements. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with early morning hours and full benefits inclusion.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
• Chauffer License required if job location is IN, MI, TN.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and to complete reports.
• 1–3 years of DSD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise, stock, and rotate products on shelves and displays to ensure quality and freshness.
• Drive sales by securing new display space and using data to inform store strategies.
• Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while executing promotions.
• Introduce new products to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers.
• Complete daily route settlement procedures for products, invoices, and cash with accurate inventory counts.
• Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT daily logs.
• Submit required paperwork and deposits on time.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Merchandise, stock, and ensure the proper rotation of products on store shelves and displays to guarantee the best quality and freshness.
• Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies.
• Follow up on new account opportunities and build strong customer relationships while ensuring the execution of promotions.
• Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers.
• Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for all products, invoices, and cash while maintaining proper inventory counts.
• Safely drive the company route truck and complete DOT (US Department of Transportation) daily logs.
• Submit other required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.

Position Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
• Successfully able to obtain Chauffer License (If job location is in IN, MI, TN).
• Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers.
• 1-3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) is preferred.
• Consistent with United States Department of Transportation regulations, the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
