Job summary

Safety-Kleen, a subsidiary of Clean Harbors, is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee (Driver Class B Trainee) in El Monte, CA. The role trains to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services in a defined route.

You will attend a 1-week out-of-state training academy, work 10–12 hour days, and return home each night.

Qualifications

• Must have Class B CDL.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as required.
• Willingness to undergo background check, drug test, and medical exam.
• Must meet facial hair standards per OSHA Respiratory Protection.

Responsibilities

• Visit 10–12 customer sites per day.
• Switch out 15- and 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new leads.
• Serve automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing customers.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups on time.
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations and safety rules.
• Operate vehicles safely per DOT requirements.
• Adhere to environmental and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
