Job summary

Schwan's Company seeks a CDL Class B route delivery professional to cover delivery routes, place orders, merchandise, and build in-store relationships. You will use handheld devices and sales software to complete daily tasks and support leadership development within the team.

The role requires a Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement, 21+ years old, and the ability to meet DOT and background requirements; prior DSD/grocery/warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement and valid medical certification; must be 21+.
• Pre-employment background check, drug test, and DOT physical required.
• Experience in DSD, grocery, delivery or warehouse preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work a Monday–Friday schedule; some weekend travel may occur; early start.
• Unload products, place in back room, collect proof of delivery.
• Place orders and drive additional sales by securing display space.
• Merchandise and rotate product; maintain display space.
• Use handheld technology and sales software daily.
• Build in-store relationships and work with teammates in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain DOT compliance and perform truck inspections.

What You Will Do

In this CDL Class B position, you provide route coverage while delivering product, placing orders, and merchandising product to ensure our products are available on store shelves for grocery shoppers. In addition, this position provides opportunities to develop the leadership skills needed for leadership positions.

• Work a Monday -- Friday schedule (some weekend travel required at times); early morning start time
• Unload products, place product in the back room, and collect proof of delivery

• Merchandise product, maintain display space, and rotate product
• Use handheld technology and sales software to complete daily work
• Build in-store relationships and work effectively with co-workers in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain DOT rules and regulations and perform truck inspections

What We Look For

• Previous DSD, grocery, delivery, or warehouse experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement and ability to meet medical certification requirements; must be 21 years or older
• Ability to safely lift 35 pounds and move frozen product using appropriate equipment
• Ability to meet pre-employment background check, drug test, and DOT physical requirements
