Job summary

CJ Schwan's Company is hiring a CDL Class B route driver to deliver product, place orders, and merchandise on store shelves. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with some weekend travel and an early morning start.

You will unload, place products in the back room, and drive additional sales by gaining display space and promoting new products. Handheld tech will be used to complete daily tasks, and you’ll build strong in-store relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement; must be 21+ and able to meet DOT certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide route coverage while delivering product, placing orders, and merchandising for shelf availability.
• Unload products and place in back room; collect proof of delivery.
• Place orders and drive additional sales by promoting displays and new products.
• Merchandise product and rotate displays to maintain shelf presence.
• Use handheld technology and sales software to complete daily tasks.
• Build in-store relationships and work effectively with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain DOT rules and perform truck inspections.

What You Will Do

In this CDL Class B position, you provide route coverage while delivering product, placing orders, and merchandising product to ensure our products are available on store shelves for grocery shoppers. In addition, this position provides opportunities to develop the leadership skills needed for leadership positions.

What We Look For

• Previous DSD, grocery, delivery, or warehouse experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement and ability to meet medical certification requirements; must be 21 years or older
• Ability to safely lift 35 pounds and move frozen product using appropriate equipment
• Ability to meet pre-employment background check, drug test, and DOT physical requirements
