Job summary

Mission Linen Supply seeks motivated Route Relief Drivers to service customers on designated routes, grow accounts, and earn commission on the business you build. This is a B2B sales and account management role that comes with a truck.

In this essential, growth-oriented position you will drive, load and unload linen and uniforms, build long-term customer relationships, and pursue new business opportunities with energy and professional service.

Qualifications

• Proven sales and customer service experience required.
• Valid Class C driver's license (no CDL) with clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a 26’ bobtail truck and load/unload gear daily.
• Must pass a drug test and clinic physical.
• Comfortable learning new systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow a designated route; outside sales and account management.
• Call on prospective customers to solicit new business and inform regulars of new products.
• Upsell existing customers on additional products and services.
• Drive a truck to deliver and pick up linen and uniforms on schedule.
• Build long-term relationships through responsive, professional service.
• Maintain inventory and follow inventory-control policies.
• Handle invoicing, collections, customer signatures, and delivery records.
• Clean and perform routine maintenance on the truck and maintain a professional appearance.
• Learn new technology and attend training sessions.

This isn't a delivery job with a sales title; it's a B2B sales and account management role that happens to come with a truck. Proven sales and customer service experience is required.

Compensation

• Starting pay: $21.97 - $26.56 an hour, based on experience, qualifications, and location


• Once assigned a route: average total annual compensation for Route Sales & Service Representatives exceeds $80,000, with uncapped commission potential based on the new business and account growth you drive

Qualifications

Duties & Responsibilities

• Own and grow a designated route; this is account management and outside sales, not just delivery


• Call on prospective customers to solicit new business and inform regular customers of new products or services


• Upsell existing customers on additional products and services


• Drive a truck to deliver and pick up linen, uniforms, and related products on schedule; load and unload the truck


• Build long-term customer relationships through responsive, professional service; listen to and resolve service complaints, keeping your supervisor informed


• Maintain inventory and follow company inventory-control policies


• Handle invoicing, collections, customer signatures, and accurate delivery and transaction records


• Clean and perform routine maintenance on your truck, and maintain a professional appearance at every stop


• Learn new technology and systems quickly and adapt to updates independently


• Attend training and service department meetings

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven sales and customer service experience (required)


• Valid Class C driver's license (no CDL required) with a clean driving record for the last 3 years (required)


• Ability to drive a 26’ bobtail truck


• Comfortable loading/unloading your own truck with bags of linen up to 50 lbs daily (required)


• Must pass a drug test and clinic physical


• Tech-savvy, with the ability to learn new systems with minimal training
