Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a friendly, hardworking Route Floater for a full-time position in Mentor, OH, with an early start at 5am, Monday–Friday, and occasional Saturday mornings. The role requires loading the vehicle, delivering to client locations, and assisting with route coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required).
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Load company vehicle with products for locations.
• Deliver and unload products to client locations.
• Fill in for service or delivery routes as needed.
• Manage shelves and stock in vending machines or coolers.
• Ensure refrigeration of all cold products in truck and accounts.
• Oversee ordering and inventory control.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for a friendly and hard-working team member to fill the role of Route Floater, Full-time, in Mentor, OH. This position has an early morning start time at 5am, Monday-Friday. Occasional Saturday morning work.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations
• Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Fill in for Service Routes or Delivery Routes as needed
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in truck and at accounts
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently
