Job summary

Canteen is hiring a full-time Route Driver for our Office Coffee program in Wood Dale, IL. The role involves delivering to on-site clients, maintaining equipment, and providing excellent customer service on a daily route.

Hours are full-time, Monday through Friday, with possible varying times. A valid driver's license is required; previous driving experience is beneficial but not mandatory. The position may offer commission eligibility and includes a competitive hourly pay of $20.00–$24.00.

Qualifications

• 3 years driving experience required.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license.
• Preferred 1-2 years experience in a customer service position, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment (box truck, handcarts, etc.).
• Able to work independently, responsible for route, work unsupervised 98% of the work day.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for vending machines.
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
• Display a clear understanding of company policies and ability to administer as needed.
• Performs routine cleaning and sanitation of vending machines and other related equipment.
• Conducts minor service and adjustments on machines; report defects as needed.
• Pre-route vehicle loading to service scheduled machines.
• Inform regular clients of new products or services and resolve service complaints.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or distribute promotional materials.
• Accountable for all receipts, invoices, delivery tickets, and product.
• Conducts inventory reconciliation according to district procedures.
• Keep company vehicle clean and organized; perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Perform all job functions in a safe and professional manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
