Job summary

Canteen North America in Houston, TX is hiring a full-time Route Driver – SmartService to deliver products on established routes and maintain inventory at client locations. You will provide top-notch service to customers and ensure accurate handling of goods, with daily responsibilities including loading, unloading, and timely deliveries.

Previous route driving experience is preferred; a valid driver's license is required and you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3 years driving experience required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service position, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities

• Load truck with product and service scheduled machines following procedures.
• Maintain inventory levels and product distribution for vending machines.
• Load hand cart with totes of product and deliver to machines; return to truck.
• Perform product rotation to ensure freshness at client locations for vending machines.
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of vending machines and related equipment.
• Report defective equipment to maintenance/repair service operators or dispatcher.
• Maintain machine product and inventory data via handheld device.
• Inform regular clients and customers of new products or services.
• Resolve service complaints and report to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or materials.
• Account for all receipts, invoices, cash, and product.
• Conduct inventory reconciliation per procedures.
• Keep vehicle clean and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
