Job summary

LJP Waste Solutions is hiring Route CDL Drivers (Class B) to collect residential waste, MSW, and recyclables on daily routes from the North Mankato area. Drivers will operate a range of commercial vehicles, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and stay compliant with CDL regulations.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified drivers. You’ll work home daily, join a safety-driven team, and contribute to sustainable waste management while maintaining professional driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles.
• Communicate with Route Managers after routes.
• Attend safety meetings and support safety initiatives.
• Suggest route efficiency improvements.

Description

We are currently hiring Route CDL Drivers (Class B) and offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified drivers. This position offers the benefit of being home daily while making a meaningful impact by helping collect and transport waste and recycling materials from customers to disposal and recycling facilities.

Drivers will safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles while maintaining compliance with all CDL regulations and company safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

Collect residential waste, municipal solid waste (MSW), and recyclable materials along assigned routes

Potentially operate roll-off routes depending on experience and business needs

Transport collected materials to designated landfill or recycling facilities

Perform assigned routes in a safe and timely manner

Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles

Communicate with Route Managers upon completion of assigned routes

Follow assigned route schedules and ensure all designated stops are serviced accurately

Attend monthly safety meetings and actively participate in safety initiatives

Support route efficiency improvements by providing feedback and operational recommendations

Maintain professionalism and safe driving practices at all times

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Valid Class A or Class B CDL

Preferred Qualifications

Previous route driving or waste industry experience

Experience operating commercial waste or recycling vehicles

LJP is willing to provide on-the-job training for motivated CDL drivers looking to enter the industry, provided it is a strong fit for both the company and the individual candidate.
