Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a friendly and hardworking Service Route Driver to join our Indianapolis team. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday from 5am to 2:30pm, with responsibilities including loading the company vehicle, delivering to client locations, and maintaining product quality.

You will interact with customers, manage inventory, and uphold safety and sanitation standards while promoting AVI products. A strong work ethic and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently

Responsibilities

• Ensure the company vehicle is properly loaded with all products needed to service locations
• Drive a vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in the truck and at accounts
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Manage the care of the company vehicle
