Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in Portland, ME seeks a delivery driver to operate company vehicles, deliver and pick up packages, and provide courteous customer service while maintaining FedEx standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 21+ years old, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid license, clean driving record, and knowledge of the service area. Starting pay is $23.52 per hour with Tuesday-Saturday hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages and ensure conformance to FedEx service standards.
• Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area and deliver customer service functions.
• Maintain neat appearance and comply with FMCSA safety requirements.
