Job summary

Darling Ingredients in Marshville, NC, is seeking a Route Coordinator who will work with route drivers to provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to customers using our computer routing system.

You will assign and organize driver routes, complete various reports, schedule deliveries, maintain customer accounts, and support the MDM team and other office staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with route management systems is preferred.
• Strong organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and organizes driver routes ensuring route efficiency based on stops and route costs.
• Completes daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on tickets, manifests, costs, and routing.
• Schedules Mobile Service Unit and Tank Delivery to customer's site including input and follow-up with Customer Service Representative in the system.
• Maintain current customer accounts through personal and telephone contact ensuring quality service to each customer in coordination with Customer Service Representative.
• Works with the MDM Team to ensure new customers are set up promptly.
• Enter Raw Material tickets into computer system.
• Fills in for other Office personnel when needed.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Good math and computer skills.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel.
• Occasionally must push, pull, move or lift up to 50lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Job functions will be carried out at a plant location and/or office environment..
