About the Role

The Route Service Apprentice role is where many of our team members start their careers at CITY - it's your entry point into the Service team and a great opportunity to learn the business from the ground up.

In this role, you'll train alongside experienced Route Service Representatives, gaining hands-on exposure to different routes, customers, and ways of working. You'll learn what success looks like by observing multiple team members and building relationships with mentors who will support your development.

After your initial training, you'll step in to support routes as needed - covering vacations, assisting with new accounts, and helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The apprenticeship typically lasts 6 to 12 months, with the goal of preparing you to take on your own route as a Route Service Representative when an opportunity becomes available.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

At least 25 years old

Requires consistent and reliable attendance

1-2 years of customer service or related experience preferred

Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to learn and grow within the company

Physical & Work Requirements

This is a hands-on, active role that combines driving, customer interaction, and physical work throughout the day.

Drive a commercial vehicle for extended periods (up to 10 hours/day)

Frequently lift and carry up to 60 lbs

Regular walking, bending, reaching, and loading/unloading products

Work both independently and in customer-facing environments

Continuously, to handle laundry, door handles, mats, hangers, bags, pen and paper, and to drive.
