Waste Management is hiring for a position responsible for a variety of manual operating and maintenance tasks under direct supervision. Duties include lifting heavy materials, operating industrial vacuum equipment, and ensuring safety compliance while working in confined spaces.

Job description

Shift: 5:45am-4:00pm, Some overnights & weekends

Job Summary

Responsible for performing a wide range of manual operating or maintenance tasks under direct supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform general manual labor tasks including lifting and moving materials greater than 50lbs.
• Operate industrial vacuum equipment (guzzler).
• Perform industrial cleaning of energy services equipment.
• Use hand tools.
• Spend 50% of time in confined space (including pits and Roll Off boxes).
• Perform maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Load and unload trucks, tanks, etc.
• Assist with minor repairs to equipment.
• Help test and maintain area safety shutdown equipment to ensure compliance with company and government regulations.
• Record daily production and prepare gauge reports, operating logs and related documentation.
• Practice awareness concerning issues of health, safety and the environment; cooperate with emergency teams to anticipate and deal with hazardous and/or unusual situations (gas environment, high‑pressure wells, oil spills and line leaks, inclement weather, acts of vandalism, etc.).
• May join technical groups and field personnel on teams to promote production efficiency and safety.
• Conduct other duties and tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 6 months of previously related experience.
• CPR & First Aid (A Roustabout can work once they have the 8hr CS but it is recommended they receive the 40hr and CPR/First Aid ASAP).
