Job summary

Phoenix-Systems is seeking a Rough/Trim Installation Technician in Greenville, SC to support projects between Greenville and Atlanta. You will work on residential smart home systems, security, networking, and related installations under supervision from the Alpharetta, GA office.

Starting pay ranges from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour depending on experience and certifications; anticipated start is September 28, 2026, with Monday–Friday daytime schedule and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Understanding of materials used in residential construction and low voltage wiring standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks to standard practices.
• Ability to work in a clean and unobtrusive manner.
• Willingness to obtain basic tools for job responsibilities.
• Must clear a background check and drug screening; clear MVR.
• Technical or vocational schooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret floor plans and place wiring at appropriate locations.
• Identify cable types for low voltage wiring and termination types.
• Run wiring in home run, daisy chain, or other topology and choose wiring style per application.
• Update digital pictures of work in management software and keep notes on job status.
• Install wall plates, terminate cables, and install security systems per teaching sheets.
• Install and test other systems (speakers, volume controls, intercoms, WAPs).
• Assist with moves and retrofits after drywall.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Phoenix Systems is growing and we are looking for a Rough/Trim Installation Technician to join us in Greenville, SC. This position will report to the Alpharetta, GA office and will support business between Greenville, SC and Atlanta, GA including the surrounding areas.

Candidates will need to reside in or around the Greenville, SC area.

Candidates should be self-motivated, personable and of good character. You should be passionate about the design and installation of residential smart home automation systems, home theater rooms, security, networking, shades, and all about providing world class service to our high-end clients.

Starting salary range is $20.00 to $24.00/hour depending on experience and certifications.

Anticipated start date of this position is September 28, 2026.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret floor plans and place wiring at appropriate locations
• Identify cable types and uses for low voltage cables (Cat5, Cat6, RG6U, 16/2, 16/4, 22/2, 22/4, etc.) and identify the termination type used
• Run wiring in home run, daisy chain, or other wiring topology and identify what style to utilize for a given application
• Update and provide accurate digital pictures of work in work management software
• Update and provide accurate paperwork and notes on job status and completion
• Install wall plates, terminate cable ends, trim low voltage panels neatly, follow work orders, install and program security system according to company programming sheets
• Install and test other basic systems sold and installed by the company including Speakers, Volume Controls, Intercom Systems, WAP’s, etc.
• Handle moves and additional as required after drywall with retrofit skills
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Understanding of material types used in residential construction and standards for drilling/running low voltage wiring
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within standard accepted practices.
• Ability to work in a clean and unobtrusive manner
• Must have or be willing to obtain basic tools to perform job responsibilities.
• Must be able to clear a background check and drug screening
• Clear MVR required
• Technical or Vocational related schooling is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear.
• Frequent use of step ladders and extension ladders
• Frequent amount of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds
