Job summary

Dicastal North America is seeking a Machining Operator to run machines and equipment for aluminum wheel production. The role focuses on operating, loading, inspecting, and reworking wheels to meet quality standards.

You will follow safety guidelines, complete required paperwork, and support a steady workflow across multiple process steps such as fine machining, gauging, sorting and surface finishing. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least six months manufacturing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and understand written documents.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machines for aluminum wheel machining.
• Transfer blanks and load/unload wheels.
• Inspect wheels visually and use gauges to check dimensions.
• Perform rework on non-conforming wheels.
• Move wheels between machines to maintain workflow.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping in the work area.

Job description

Responsible for operating machines and equipment related to the machining process of aluminum wheels. Machining operators may perform one or more of the functions listed below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows safety rules 100% of the time.
• Contributes to a safe work environment by following housekeeping guidelines.
• Follows instructions and works to meet daily job assignments and KPI’s.
• Completes all required paperwork neatly and in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned or designated.

Fine Machine

• Transfers blanks from blank storage to fine machine cells.
• Loads, marks and unloads wheels.
• Visually inspect wheels

Gauging

• Use calibrated go/no-go gauge to check dimensions on a wheel.
• Decide whether wheel is in/out of tolerance.
• Visually inspect wheels.
• Rework any no conforming wheels
• Load back on conveyor

Sorting

• Move wheels to certain machines to keep the product flowing through the correct machine.

Surface Machining

• Check results of automatic surfacing process.
• Remove wheels from machines.
• Visually inspect wheels.

Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Six months experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand written documents

Physical Work Conditions
