Orchid Construction LLC in Oakland, MI is seeking a skilled Rough Carpenter to join our growing crew. You will frame walls, floors, and roofs, read blueprints, and help ensure accuracy and safety on every project in the Birmingham and Bloomfield Township area.

About the Role:

Orchid Construction LLC is looking for a skilled Rough Carpenter to join our growing team in Oakland, MI! This is a hands‑on opportunity to be part of a dedicated construction crew where your craftsmanship and work ethic will make a real impact on every project we build. Most projects are in the Birmingham and Bloomfield Township area.

Responsibilities:

• Frame walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components according to blueprints and building plans


• Install rough framing elements including joists, rafters, studs, and headers


• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications


• Measure, cut, and fasten lumber and other building materials with precision


• Collaborate with crew members, subcontractors, and site supervisors to meet project timelines


• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site in compliance with OSHA safety standards


• Inspect completed framing work to ensure structural integrity and quality standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience in rough carpentry, wood framing, or residential/commercial construction


• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and framing equipment


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
