Qualifications

Job description

Role Overview

As an Air Ambulance Pilot, you will provide rapid, life-saving transportation for patients, ensuring safety for the medical team and passengers during flights. Your responsibilities include operating aircraft according to FAA regulations, planning and executing flights, and collaborating with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch. You must respond promptly to emergency calls, maintain accurate flight logs, and uphold professional interactions with patients, families, and the public.

Qualifications & Skills
  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and appropriate ratings
  • Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate
  • Minimum 2,500 flight hours in helicopter
  • Experience in cross-country, night, and instrument flying
  • Ability to perform pre-flight/post-flight inspections and meet FAA medical and physical standards
  • Strong communication, decision‑making, situational awareness, and team collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Air ambulance and Night Vision Goggle experience
  • 300+ flight hours at night and turbine-engine hours
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and handle physical tasks involving climbing and lifting
