Job summary

Gerdau North America in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic on rotating shifts to keep heavy mill equipment running safely and efficiently.

The role requires at least 2 years of industrial maintenance, experience with mechanical or electrical repairs; welding is a plus. You will work with supervisors, engineers and operators to maintain and repair diverse machinery, ensuring optimal production uptime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with mechanical or electrical repairs; welding/fabrication a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair to keep mill equipment in good condition.
• Dismantle, repair, inspect, and assemble equipment and components.
• Detect malfunctions by observing equipment and operating conditions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance including lubrication, adjustments, and cleaning.
• Report faulty materials or unsafe conditions.
