Qualifications

  • Engineering Technology degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with rotating equipment, high-speed machinery, or precision assembly.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with manual machining, fabrication, tooling, hydraulics, pneumatics, or instrumentation.
  • Ability to interpret CAD drawings and work from engineering documentation.
  • Good communication, organization, and multitasking capability.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and instrument rotating machinery hardware (compressors, turbines, pumps) and test rigs.
  • Support balance, alignment, bearing installation, and component tolerancing.
  • Conduct tests involving airflow, pressure, vibration, and performance characterization.
  • Maintain mechanical systems, drive equipment, bearings, lubrication systems, and sensors.
  • Troubleshoot turbomachinery components, test rigs, and facility systems.
  • Record data, reduce results, and maintain project documentation.

Job Responsibilities

Creare seeks an experienced Rotating Machinery Technician to support development of prototype rotating machinery (turbocompressors, turboalternators, vacuum pumps, etc.) that include ball-bearing and gas-bearing machines. Specific activities include fabrication, assembly, instrumentation, and testing. This role is ideal for individuals excited by high-speed rotating machinery, precision assembly, and performance testing.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assemble and instrument rotating machinery hardware (compressors, turbines, pumps) and test rigs.
  • Support balance, alignment, bearing installation, and component tolerancing.
  • Conduct tests involving airflow, pressure, vibration, and performance characterization.
  • Maintain mechanical systems, drive equipment, bearings, lubrication systems, and sensors.
  • Troubleshoot turbomachinery components, test rigs, and facility systems.
