Job summary

Ebara Elliott Energy is seeking a technician to support repairs of industrial rotating equipment in a collaborative team environment. You will read drawings, perform setup, and carry out dimensional inspections to ensure accuracy and quality.

You will learn and apply repair processes for turbines, compressors, and related components, while maintaining safe work practices and clear documentation for customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 3-5 years experience with rotating turbo machinery.
• Rigging capabilities.
• Measuring capabilities.
• Experience with turbines, compressors and/or other rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Conducts themselves in a professional manner with customers.
• Ability to read and comprehend drawings, sketches, work scopes, and verbal instructions.
• Uses appropriate equipment, tooling, drawings, work scopes, procedures, specifications and documentation to perform the primary function.
• Learn repair processes including overhauling rotors, turbines, disc and blade holders, shafts, gears, and couplings.
• Learn to set up equipment for jobs.
• Accurately measure and record all dimensional inspections using proper devices.
• Pass the annual dimensional inspection test.
• Understand inspection reports and work with customer witnesses.
• Process documentation associated with turbo machinery (inspection reports, photo logs, hold tags).
• Knowledge of lifting, rigging, crane and forklift operations.
• Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting actions and needs.
• Accept ownership over work performance and stay current.
• General knowledge of welding and fabrication concepts preferred.
