Job summary

Austin Powder seeks a Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer at our Tennessee plant to develop and implement reliability programs that maximize uptime, improve product quality, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

The role collaborates with Maintenance, Technical and Operations, leading root cause investigations and supporting turnaround planning while advancing predictive and preventive maintenance practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
• Project & budget management experience preferred.
• Safety sensitive position requiring disclosure of prescription medication use.

Responsibilities

• Establish, track, and achieve equipment reliability goals with Maintenance, Technical and Operations.
• Participate in safety and environmental initiatives to ensure compliance.
• Develop and monitor predictive and preventative maintenance activities (oil analysis, vibration, infrared thermography).
• Provide daily technical support to craftsmen, supervisors and other engineers.
• Assist in planning and execution of turnaround activities.
• Lead root cause failure investigations for mechanical incidents.
• Review projects for compliance with plant and corporate standards.
