Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to provide engineering support for maintenance and reliability of plant equipment across assigned units. The role focuses on troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance, and improving life-cycle cost while complying with safety and environmental standards.

You will define PM scopes, lead root-cause analysis, develop SMPs, and use SAP/CMMS to manage work orders.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
2–5 years of chemical plant experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Background screening including TWIC card and pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

Define PM scope, classification, and frequency for mechanical equipment.
Lead troubleshooting for high vibration, abnormal noise, and lubrication issues.
Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
Develop and update maintenance procedures and PM plans.
Monitor PM compliance and coordinate with operations to improve reliability.
Provide day-to-day technical support for rotating and fixed equipment.
