Job summary

Bilfinger Inc. is seeking a Rope Access NDT Technician to support inspection projects across multiple sites in the United States. The role involves preparing equipment, performing NDT-related tasks, and assisting senior technicians on complex jobs.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, documenting procedures, generating JSEA, and ensuring equipment traceability. Candidates should have rope access certification and NDT qualifications, with 3+ months of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Rope access certification is required.
• NDT qualifications (UT/MT/PT) Level 1/2 preferred.
• Minimum 3 months experience as rope access technician.

Responsibilities

• Reviews Work Order, PO, procedures and specifications assigned to him/her by management.
• Facilitates equipment needed for the inspection job.
• Generates a JSEA prior to the start of each job.
• Standardizes equipment per procedure.
• Verifies inspection equipment is up to date and in good working order.
• Engages with Client representative to locate items to be inspected.
• Ensures traceability of material/products to be inspected.
• Carries out soft craft work such as stripping insulation and applying new insulation/coatings for CUI remediation.
• Performs as the NDT Technician or assists higher level NDT technician.
• Maintains orderly work area and inventories NDE/soft craft kits and vehicle needs.

Responsibilities

• Reviews Work Order, PO, procedures and specifications assigned to him/her by management
• Facilitates what equipment is needed for assigned inspection job
• Generates a JSEA prior to the start of each job
• Standardize the equipment per assigned procedure.
• Verifies all inspection equipment is up to date and visually inspects equipment to assure it is in good working order.
• Engages with Client representative to locate items to be inspected and retrieve any client documents, routers, etc.
• Ensures proper traceability of material/ products to be inspected
• Carries out soft craft work such as stripping insulation and coatings, applying new insulation / coatings for CUI remediation per assigned procedure and specification.
• Performs as the NDT Technician or assists the higher level NDT technician
• Cleans material and work area to an orderly fashion
• Takes frequent inventory of NDE and Soft craft kits and company vehicle and lets supervisor aware of upcoming equipment/ material needs.

Cleans and maintains company vehicle if one is assigned

Education/ Certification/ Training/ Experience Requirements

• SRAT Rope Access Level 1 Certification
• UT Thickness, MT, PT Level 1 or Level 2 Certification
• At least 3 months experience as a rope access technician
• As dictated in manual no. TMS-30-M-US-01 – NDT Personnel Qualification and Certification
