Job summary

Acuren is seeking a Rope Access Level I/NDT UT/PT Tech in the New Orleans area to perform rope access duties safely under supervision. The role covers inspecting equipment, setting up systems, and maintaining IRATA/SPRAT certifications; it is open to the Kenner, LA area and surrounding communities, with on-site work and regular travel.

Qualifications

• IRATA/SPRAT Level 1 certification required, incl. theory, equipment, rigging, climbing and rescue.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Ability to work at heights and in extreme conditions; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and validate rope access equipment for safety and compliance.
• Assist in setting up rope access systems as directed by Lead RAT.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions promptly.
• Record inspection results as directed.
• Safely ascend, descend, and maneuver on ropes.
• Assist in basic rescue operations under supervision.
• Maintain IRATA or SPRAT certifications and training records.
• Assist other technicians as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
