Job summary

Acuren is seeking an Rope Access RT Level II Technician with Trainer Status to join our Houston team. You will set up and calibrate NDT equipment, perform tests for defects, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and safety regulations.

The role requires RT Level II with trainer status, SPRAT/IRATA certification, and a strong background in NDT methods, equipment, and report writing. On-site work in US-TX-Houston with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Must hold RT Level II with trainer status and SPRAT/IRATA certification.
• Experience interpreting radiographs and other readouts, and reporting results.
• Strong background in NDT methods, procedures and safety compliance.
• Report writing experience is required.

Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for an Rope Access RT Level II Technician with Trainer Status Technician.

Location: US-TX-Houston

Contract type: Regular Full-Time

Work schedule status: On-Site

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• RT State Card with trainer status required.
• RT Level II Certification required
• SPRAT/IRATA Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Certified Level II
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing
