Job summary

Acuren is seeking qualified Rope Access & NDT Technicians to join our team in the La Porte/Houston, TX area. This role focuses on setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment and performing inspections with rope access methods.

Candidates should hold Rope Access Level I or II and RT State Carded Trainer status, with UT/MT/PT PMI certifications being a plus. This position demands safety-conscious, meticulous reporting of results and may involve guiding others.

Qualifications

Acuren is currently looking for qualified Rope Access & NDT Technicians to join our team!

This position is currently open to candidates who live in the La Porte/ Houston, TX area.

Rope Access Level I or II

RT Level II – State Carded & Trainer Status

UT / MT / PT / PMI certifications are a plus!

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• Rope Access Level I or II Cert Required
• RT State Carded Trainer
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Certified Level II UT/MT/PT & PMI
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing
