Job summary

We are seeking NCCER credentialed Painters with Rope Access - Level I, Level II, or Level III certification in the Baton Rouge, LA area. The Painter position performs surface preparation per specification to achieve proper adhesion on asset and applies protective coating on asset to achieve corrosion prevention, identification, hazard recognition, product purity, etc. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• IRATA / SPRAT Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 certification
• TWIC Card
• Must have NCCER certification
• Preferred experience with industrial coatings operations and best practices
• Must have a capacity for work at height
• Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
• CPR certification
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Functional Requirements

Uses Industrial Rope Access methods and related equipment to access and complete a wide variety of maintenance, repairs and other industrial work tasks while suspended on ropes or in difficult access areas; responsibilities may also include rescue operations, technical reports, and administrative tasks; performs surface preparation per specification to provide proper adhesion of material; utilizes various methods for surface preparation, including but not limited to solvent, hand tools, power tools, pressurized water jet, abrasive blast cleaning, etc.; applies protective coatings to customer assets for corrosion prevention, identification, hazard recognition, product purity, etc.; utilizes various methods including brush/roll, conventional spray, single/plural component airless spray, hand trowel, thermal spray aluminum, etc.; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement
