Pier Sixty-Six Resort, a CoralTree Hospitality property in Fort Lauderdale, seeks a Rooms PM Engineer to uphold luxury standards in guest rooms and amenities. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and upkeep, ensuring a seamless guest experience.

The role requires knowledge of building systems, strong problem-solving, and a commitment to exceptional service in a fast-paced luxury environment. Flexibility for nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC; relevant certifications preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, luxury environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highest standards of functionality and aesthetics through systematic maintenance and proactive care.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, lighting fixtures, and bathroom amenities.
• Address minor damages and cosmetics in furnishings and fixtures.
• Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities and flag recurrent issues.
• Ensure guest amenities are stocked and presented to luxury standards.
• Adhere to safety and cleanliness protocols and minimize disruption to guests.
• Respond to guest complaints or issues regarding room maintenance swiftly.

We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded Rooms PM Engineer to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort team!

Responsibilities

1. The Rooms Preventive Maintenance Engineer is primarily responsible for maintaining the highest standards of functionality and aesthetics through systematic maintenance and proactive care. This role ensures that all features and amenities adhere to the standards expected at a luxury property, aiming to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort.
2. Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on all features including HVAC, lighting fixtures, and bathroom amenities to ensure everything is in excellent working condition.
3. Address and rectify minor damages such as scratches, dents, malfunctioning hardware, and cosmetic issues in furnishings and fixtures.
4. Update and maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, flagging any recurrent issues or significant damages that require more extensive repair.
5. Ensure all guest amenities are stocked and presented according to luxury standards, including but not limited to toiletries, minibar items, and stationery.
6. Comply with all safety and cleanliness protocols, maintaining a clean work environment during and after tasks are completed.
7. Regularly verify that electronics and digital interfaces function seamlessly, providing a hassle-free technological experience for guests.
8. Respond to guest complaints or issues regarding room maintenance swiftly, ensuring minimal disruption to their stay.
9. Standards for Excellence: maintenance tasks should be performed discreetly and efficiently, aiming to resolve issues without impacting the guest's comfort or schedule.
10. Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, reflecting the property’s commitment to high-quality guest experiences.
11. Engage in continuous learning about new maintenance techniques and tools that can enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
12. Participate in regular training sessions on guest service excellence and maintenance standards as provided by the hotel management or industry standards.
13. Adhere to environmental policies by minimizing waste and efficiently managing resources like water and electricity during maintenance tasks.
14. Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisor
