Job summary

Coury Hospitality is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeper to ensure spotless guest rooms and public areas, delivering comfort and presentation that align with our standards of cleanliness and guest care.

You will clean and prepare rooms, change linens, restock supplies, and respond to guest requests with professionalism. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, and meet safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of guestroom cleaning standards and sanitation practices preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean guest rooms to Coury Hospitality standards.
• Make beds, dust, vacuum, sanitize surfaces, and refresh amenities.
• Replace linens and supplies; ensure room is ready before guests arrive.
• Inspect rooms for readiness and communicate any needs to supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas and assist with guest requests.

Preparing guest rooms with care and attention to ensure they meet Coury Hospitality’s standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation.

Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, and refreshing guest amenities.

Replacing linens, towels, and supplies while ensuring every detail is completed before a guest arrives.

Inspecting rooms to identify opportunities for improvement and ensuring spaces are ready for occupancy.

Maintaining cleanliness and appearance throughout public areas, including hallways, lounges, restrooms, and elevators.

Responding to guest requests with professionalism, courtesy, and a genuine desire to help.

Delivering requested items such as towels, toiletries, and amenities while creating a positive guest interaction.

Communicating guest concerns, maintenance needs, and service opportunities to the Housekeeping Supervisor or appropriate department.

Maintaining organized housekeeping carts, storage areas, equipment, and supplies.

Following all safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures to protect yourself, your teammates, and our guests.

Partnering with Housekeeping, Front Office, Maintenance, and other departments to support a seamless guest experience.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous housekeeping, hotel, hospitality, or cleaning experience preferred.

Knowledge of guestroom cleaning standards, sanitation practices, and safe chemical handling preferred.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to communicate effectively with guests, teammates, and leadership.

Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred, but not required.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the shift.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds, including linens, supplies, and cleaning equipment.

Ability to push and maneuver housekeeping carts throughout guest floors and hotel areas.

Ability to perform repetitive cleaning motions and physical tasks throughout the workday.

Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and products according to established procedures.

Ability to work in guest rooms, public spaces, storage areas, and back-of-house areas while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
