Job summary

The Jay, Autograph Collection, San Francisco, is seeking a dedicated hotel housekeeping associate to maintain clean and safe guest rooms and public areas. You will strip beds, restock rooms, and ensure all surfaces are spotless while adhering to cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.

Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs for linens, push/pull heavy carts, and communicate effectively with supervisors and guests.

Qualifications

• Must be able to scrub and scour surfaces and extend arms overhead.
• Must be a team player and willing to help coworkers.
• Ability to push/pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe, clean guest experience.
• Clean bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, and floors with cleaning agents.
• Strip beds and change linens, lift bedspreads up to 50 lbs.
• Dust furniture, windowsills, and shelves; push/pull vacuum; restock supplies.
• Sign for room keys, retrieve keys, and restock carts as needed.

NoOverviewMaintain the hotel rooms and building to ensure safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates, and vendors.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending, and stooping.Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.Strip beds and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart.
